  • L-XTA – Large Xenon Tank Assembly

The “Large Xenon Tank Assembly” (L-XTA) is high-performance, cost-competitive COPV for storage of Xenon for hybrid or full-electric satellite propulsion systems. To cover the volume range of 300-900 l, two dedicated “tank families” were established, each with a common diameter. Tank qualification is currently in progress and introduction to the first satellite applications is in 2019, beginning with the Electra and Neosat missions.

  • JAMES CCN3

As payloads become more complex, the number of RF paths to test during AIT and IOT explodes. JAMES Project divided test duration by more than 3, using fast RF measurements, improved parallel TM/TC processing, and faster dialogue protocols. On top of these achievements, the CCN3 has explored ad validated an RF-optical-RF interface module with multiplexing capability of 2 channels.

  • KaUF

A Ka band feed chain, especially designed for user applications is developed. Dimensions and mass shall be minimised to enable an increased number of feed chains per satellite in order to realise higher data rates.

  • MTAILS

The objective of this project is the assessment of satellite networks technology evolutions that can mitigate the effect of satellite latency on the user quality of experience, so that satellite networks can be integrated more seamlessly within the 5G ecosystem.

  • ALIX

Through its activities, ALIX supports the satellite communication community to engage with 3GPP in order to develop contributions and advocate positions favourable to the SatCom sector within the 3GPP standardisation process such that they result in tangible industrial opportunities. The project gathers organisations from the satellite communication community each holding key positions in 3GPP as contributors, rapporteurs of study items or chairmanship of Working Group.
