Alphabus/Alphasat displayed at Toulouse Space Show

Approximately1000 people attended the Toulouse Space Show, an international space exhibition for both business and the general public. ESA took part in the four-day event.

Highlighted at the ESA booth was the TIA directorate’s Alphabus/Alphasat programme. Alphabus/Alphasat is a specific element dedicated to the development and deployment of Alphasat. Alphasat is the satellite that, in partnership with Inmarsat, will incorporate the first unit of the Alphabus Platform jointly developed by Astrium and Thales Alenia Space.

TIA director Ms. Magali Vaissiere also attended the event, while Ms. Agnès Villa from the Toulouse TIA office assisted at the ESA stand throughout the Space Show.

The event is organised by the French Space Agency CNES and Midi-Pyrenees Expansion, and sponsored by a number of leading European space companies, including Thales Alenia Space and EADS Astrium.
