Digital Cinema successfully demonstrated using the Cast4All multicasting platform

Recently 'Nicolas', a digital feature film by Pete Shaner, was successfully transmitted to two different EVS CineStore servers. The transmission of a full motion picture containing more than 60 Gbytes, used a dedicated Forward Error Correcting (FEC) scheme which was developed by Cast4All.

The system was developed with the support of the ESA Telecom. During the presentation at Barco, both Barco Digital Cinema and EVS Digital Cinema presented their offerings and views on the future of digital cinema. Cast4All presented the distribution system, and demonstrated the provisioning of content deliveries via satellite through its Internet portal.
