National Earth Observation Conference

The conference will take place at the University of Birmingham in Edgbaston from 4th – 7th September.  It will be a significant gathering of the UK EO and photogrammetry community across research, government and industry, with sessions designed to encompass all aspects of Earth Observation – science, technology, and applications.  The main technology sessions are on Wednesday 5th September, with a quick-fire ‘Future EO Missions, Instruments and Technologies’ session by the conference co-organiser CEOI at 10.00; then in the afternoon Session 2C ‘Technologies for EO’ at 15.00-17.00. This will be followed by the poster session (including drinks reception), with the technology posters clustered in an ‘EO Technology Forum’.  Plus other EO technology talks are included in many other sessions. The full conference programme is now published with details of all sessions.

CEOI has also announced it will be providing grant funding for seven projects to develop new EO technologies for future operational or commercial missions. Particular emphasis is on technology developments with export opportunities, matching the ambitions of the newly released EO Technology Strategy.  The full announcement is available on the CEOI website.
