SatLabs launches new website

Previously a part of the European Space Agency's Telecommunications home page, the SatLabs Group now has its own website. The website is the central point for news, highlights and documentation related to interoperability and practical aspects related to implementation of DVB-RCS systems and networks. The home page will feature regular news items on activities in the current progress of work, achievements as well as future announcements for events related to the Group. Additionally, a wide range of documentation will be available for downloading, with more being added regularly. Information is structured on a navigation bar so users can easily identify such topics as current members and certified products.

Xavier Lobao of ESA ESTEC and chairman of the SatLabs Group said, "Interoperability issues will be a main focus of the website and it will also focus on facilitating DVB-RCS market development. Furthermore the new website will serve as a means of raising awareness of possibilities offered by the standard and also serve as a knowledge base."

A New Image

The new website also highlights ushers in a new image for the Group and reflects their determination to promote DVB-RCS technologies. Interest in DVB-RCS has grown significantly and spurred rapid evolvement. SatLabs' new image symbolically exemplifies these developments and encourages future improvements to the standard. Interoperability, low-cost provision and market development support are just some of the objectives which are driving increasing interest and making the efforts of SatLabs Group more relevant.

The new logo illustrates the direction the SatLabs Group is taking satcom. Three curved lines symbolise the many different ways and kinds of information sent around the world. Orange was chosen for its modernity, highlighting the progressive nature of the Group.
