Submissions being accepted for 3rd Advanced Satellite Mobile Systems Conference

The Conference is organised by the Institute for Communications and Navigation of Deutsche Zentrum für Luft und Raumfahrt (DLR) on behalf of the Advanced Satellite Mobile Systems Task Force (ASMS-TF), in cooperation with European Space Agency (ESA), the Satellite Communications Network of Excellence (SatNEx) and the MoSSA Specific Support Action from the European Commission.

Building on previous successful ASMS conferences, this conference will be a paramount opportunity for industry, operators and research institutions to get the latest updates and exchange information about recent advances and emerging technologies for satellite communications systems.

Although the main focus of the conference will be on Mobile Satellite Systems, Fixed and Broadcast Satellite Systems are also of interest.

Tutorials will be held on the first day of the conference. Keynote Speakers will introduce the technical sessions on the second day. A Panel Discussion will follow the technical sessions on the third day.

The conference will include live demonstrations and exhibition stands. Organisations wishing to have a demonstration or exhibition stand can do so by contacting the conference secretariat no later than 31 January 2006.

Organisations wishing to give a presentation should be aware that submissions can be made from 1 November 2005 onwards.

Both extended abstract (about 2 pages in length) or full paper (up to 8 pages in length) submissions are possible. All submissions shall be accompanied by a short text-only abstract of about 200 words.

For information on how to do this go to the ASMS Conference 2006 website by clicking under external links at the right of this page.

The ASMS Conference in 2004 attracted 176 people from countries outside Europe including Korea, Iran and India. To view the presentations from this event click under related links at the top-right of this page.
