Applications Workshop Presentations now on-line

The Telecom Applications Workshop 2003 was a great success, with over ninety people attending on each of the two days and several more following it remotely.

This year's workshop consisted of 18 presentations from projects. Speakers from Europe and Canada came to meet and present their projects and give opinions on a wide array of topics. ESA Telecom personnel delivered 2 introductory and 4 more thematic presentations, covering aspects on IP security, Networking Issues on DVB-RCS, and Quality Standards for Software Development. Additionally, Andrea Cotellessa from the User Support Office presented a number of new tools which will greatly assist companies with ESA Telecom projects.

Held on 22 and 23 September 2003, the purpose of the workshop was to help individuals involved in the Applications Area of User Segment to get acquainted with each other. It was designed to help attendees learn from the experiences of fellow satcom service providers and entrepreneurs. Sharing ideas and exploring potential future areas of cooperation are often the most beneficial results of attending.
