Tendering Schedule announced for User Segment ITT 2005 for 'Integrated Applications and User Terminals'

In 2005, there will be three rounds of the User Segment ITT. Rounds 2 and 3 are reissues of round 1.

The User Segment has been conceived within the ESA Telecom Long Term Plan to provide a new dimension to the development capabilities of ESA Telecom. The User Segment programme line promotes near-to-market development activities in the area of satellite communications directly affecting the user community.

The User Segment focuses on key elements integrated in an end-to-end context. In particular this programme line focuses on Integrated Applications and User Terminals which, from the users' point of view, are crucial in determining the attractiveness of the system and in its eventual success in the market place.
