Satellite communications has entered a new era with the introduction of High Throughput satellites (HTS). This era has started couple of years ago, driven by vertically integrated companies resulting mostly in B2C services within North America.

As a result and outcome of the successful WIND project, Newtec has completed the Newtec Dialog System with full support for Wideband carriers and HTS scalability and Hub density. The XIF Newtec Dialog architecture has been introduced.

The Newtec modem portfolio is enhanced with 2 new modem types as outcome of WIND:

  • The MDM2210, targeting the consumer and SOHO market and wideband capable.
  • The MDM3310, targeting the enterprises and professional markets and wideband capable.
