    In recent years, there has been a notable increase in interest in constellation initiatives. These initiatives represent a paradigm shift for the Satellite Communications domain and bring with them a significant number of opportunities and challenges. In particular, the rapid development of Satellite Communications constellations has meant a big increase in the number of space and ground assets, which in turn has created substantial challenges for environmental sustainability.

    The 1st ESA Workshop on Sustainable Technologies for Satcom Constellations event will aim to identify the key technologies, concepts and solutions for the design and implementation of Satellite Communications constellations, based on responsible and sustainable values for the use of Space.

    The ESA-ECSAT 5G/6G Hub webinar is an online event  bringing together industrial actors from a range of business sectors. The attendees will have the opportunity to hear from telecommunications experts on how hybrid satellite-terrestrial networks can contribute to their technology development. The webinar will highlight examples from the areas of healthcare, the energy sector, and the automotive industry.

The event is supporting the European Space Agency (ESA) Agenda 2025, set out to foster the growth and collaboration of the European space sector by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher.

  • Final Presentation Webinar - ARTES Future Preparation Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for Satellite Telecommunication

    ESA would like to invite you to the Final Presentation Webinar of the ARTES Future Preparation (FP) activity Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for Satellite Telecommunications.

    This Webinar will take place on the 9th of June at 10:00 CEST and it will present the results and key lessons learnt of the two parallel contracts lead by Joanneum Research (AT) and GMV (ES), that performed this study.
    The Webinar is scheduled to last a maximum of 1h 30min, with 2 presentation of 30min (one for each contract), followed by a short Q&A session.
